Many homes had the concept of open court yard in the middle of the house to channelize nature's energy and this open court yard was a very important aspect of vaastu principles and Feng Shui. Homes that had large spaces, surrounded by greenery, signified freshness, serenity.
Ancient scriptures reveal that thousands of years ago the monks, saints and hermits lived amongst trees in forests.
